วันที่ 17 สิงหาคม 2569 นายมงคล ตรีกิจจานนท์ ผู้ว่าการการไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค และ Mr. Sonam Tobjey (Chief Executive Officer of Bhutan Power Corporation Limited) ร่วมลงนามในบันทึกความเข้าใจ (Memorandum of Understanding: MOU) เพื่อส่งเสริมความร่วมมือด้านกิจการไฟฟ้า ระหว่างการไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค (PEA) และ Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC) แห่งราชอาณาจักรภูฏาน โดยมีผู้บริหารของทั้งสองหน่วยงานร่วมพิธี ณ สำนักงานใหญ่ การไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค
ความร่วมมือระหว่าง PEA และ BPC มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อส่งเสริมการแลกเปลี่ยนข้อมูล เทคโนโลยี องค์ความรู้ และประสบการณ์ด้านกิจการไฟฟ้าระหว่างกัน โดยมุ่งเน้นการพัฒนาโครงข่ายไฟฟ้าอัจฉริยะ (Smart Grid) ตลอดจนเทคโนโลยีสำคัญ ได้แก่ ระบบโครงสร้างพื้นฐานมิเตอร์อัจฉริยะ (Advanced Metering Infrastructure: AMI) และระบบบริหารจัดการระบบจำหน่ายไฟฟ้าขั้นสูง (Advanced Distribution Management System: ADMS)
นอกจากนี้ ทั้งสองหน่วยงานจะร่วมกันส่งเสริมการพัฒนาศักยภาพบุคลากร เพื่อเพิ่มพูนความรู้ ทักษะ และประสบการณ์ด้านการบริหารจัดการและพัฒนาระบบไฟฟ้า ตลอดจนสนับสนุนการแลกเปลี่ยนองค์ความรู้และแนวปฏิบัติที่เป็นประโยชน์ต่อการดำเนินงานของทั้งสององค์กร เพื่อยกระดับประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการและรองรับการเปลี่ยนแปลงของเทคโนโลยีด้านพลังงานในอนาคต
การลงนาม MOU ครั้งนี้นับเป็นอีกก้าวสำคัญในการเสริมสร้างความสัมพันธ์และขยายความร่วมมือระหว่าง PEA และ BPC โดยนำศักยภาพและประสบการณ์ของทั้งสองหน่วยงานมาร่วมพัฒนาระบบไฟฟ้าให้มีประสิทธิภาพ ทันสมัย และมั่นคง พร้อมรองรับการเปลี่ยนผ่านด้านพลังงานและการพัฒนาระบบไฟฟ้าอัจฉริยะอย่างยั่งยืน

PEA and BPC Sign MOU to Strengthen Cooperation in the Power Sector and Advance Smart Grid Development
On 17 August 2026, Mr. Mongkol Treekijjanon, Governor of the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA), and Mr. Sonam Tobjey, Chief Executive Officer of Bhutan Power Corporation Limited (BPC), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to strengthen cooperation in the power sector between PEA and BPC of the Kingdom of Bhutan at PEA Headquarters, Bangkok.
The cooperation between PEA and BPC aims to promote the exchange of information, technology, knowledge, and experience in the power sector, with a focus on the development of Smart Grid systems and key technologies, including Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) and Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS).
In addition, both organizations will jointly promote human resource development to enhance knowledge, skills, and experience in power system management and development. The cooperation will also support the exchange of expertise and best practices that can contribute to the operations of both organizations, enhance service efficiency, and prepare for future advancements in energy technologies.
The signing of this MOU marks another important step in strengthening the relationship and expanding cooperation between PEA and BPC. By leveraging the capabilities and experience of both organizations, the partnership will contribute to the development of a more efficient, modern, and reliable power system, while supporting the energy transition and the sustainable advancement of Smart Grid technologies.
