PEA Solar Rooftop

Implementation of Solar Rooftop Photovoltaic Systems
on PEA Buildings Nationwide (2018 - 2024)

The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) has implemented the installation of solar rooftop photovoltaic (PV) systems on office buildings and substations across the country. The installed capacity for each site ranges from 5 to 50 kilowatts-peak (kWp), with a total of 815 installations nationwide, amounting to an aggregate installed capacity of approximately 10.83 megawatts-peak (MWp).

The primary objective of this initiative is to generate electricity for self-consumption within PEA’s facilities, thereby reducing the buildings' electricity expenditures and enhancing overall energy efficiency. This effort reflects PEA’s commitment to sustainable energy practices and aligns with Thailand’s broader energy transition and carbon reduction goals.
