DATA ANALYTICS
Online Power System Analysis (OPSA)
OPSA is a website for analyzing power quality problems in low voltage distribution systems, such as under-voltage problems. Transformer overload, unbalanced load and unit loss by using the Geographic Information System (GIS) electrical system map database and power consumption units to calculate the online Power Flow to summarize the analysis results in dashboard. And shows the location of the problematic transformer and meter on the GIS map for easy user access.

OPSA : Features

Key Benefits

Improved Power Distribution System
- Reduce the number of transformers to measure the load by 70%, thus reducing operating costs such as the number of employees, fuel costs and overtime in load measurement
- Reduce royalties of the software used to calculate Power Flow
- Reduce unit loss in distribution system users can use the data from the OPSA to improve the electrical system to reduce unit loss
- Reduce the number of broken transformers due to transformer overload

Developed Efficiency and Analysis
- OPSA summarises analysis results in a dashboard format, making it easy and convenient for users to access the information. This facilitates the analysis of problems related to the quality of electricity

Data-Driven Decision Making
- OPSA uses data from PEA's existing systems, such as SCADA for load data and GIS for power circuit information. This integration allows PEA to use real-world data to run simulations in other programs, like "DigSilent," for more informed decision-making

Modernised System Management
- OPSA helps with project management, personnel capability development, and resource management to achieve optimum efficiency

Enhanced Data Quality
- "GIS Data Cleansing Project" highlights the role of tools like OPSA in systematically gathering, formatting, and organising data for future analysis
