Enterprise Asset Management (EAM)

Objectives

The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) aims to enhance operational efficiency and service quality through the implementation of an Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system, in line with its 2024–2028 strategic plan. This initiative supports PEA’s vision of “Smart electricity for a better sustainable quality of life” by optimizing asset performance, reducing costs, and strengthening digital and human resource capabilities. The system aligns with ISO 55000 standards and utilizes Condition-Based Risk Management (CBRM) to manage critical assets—such as power transformers, switchgear, underground/submarine cables, and distribution transformers—throughout their lifecycle.

Project Status

The project focuses on the development and implementation of an asset management system for four critical types of electrical assets: power transformers, underground/submarine cables, 115 kV/33 kV/22 kV switchgear, and distribution transformers.

components

The system comprises three main components:

  • Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system for operational and maintenance management
  • Mobile Field Service Management (MFSM) system for field operations using mobile devices
  • Asset Performance Management (APM) system to enhance asset performance and support strategic decision-making
