During 10 – 14 April 2019 in Geneva, Switzerland, history was made for Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) after grabbing 5 awards from 4 inventions back to Thailand in the global invention event—“The 47th International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva 2019”.
The renowned event has been regarded as the biggest event in the world to be exclusively devoted to inventions. The 47-years old event had a total of over 1,000 inventions from 40 countries around the world, drawing over 60,000 attendees from 5 continents, with support from Switzerland Government, and World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
PEA’s 4 inventions that received 5 awards are :
1. ‘Gold medal with the congratulations of the jury’, and ‘special prize on stage’ from Korea Invention Promotion Association for creating invention by “PEA Solar Hero Application”, the one-stop service application for installing solar rooftop. (by PEA Head Office inventors)
2. ‘Gold medal’ from “Vuzela”, the cable stripper operate with cordless drill. (by PEA Area 2 (North) Phitsanulok Province inventors.
3. ‘Silver medal’ from “Safekeeping Communication Lines Tools” (by PEA Area 2 (Northeast) Ubon Ratchathani Province inventors.
4. ‘Bronze medal’ from “Triple Drum Winch for String Cable Machine” (by PEA Head Office inventors)
PEA’s inventions have emerged to public through the global stage can consider as the brand recognition springboard. At the same time, it encourages employees to be more creative in achieving tasks, and to further uncover new inventions for PEA’s potential business in the future. This achievement is the proven fact to the KEEN14 Policy, namely : “Keep Improving Existing Business, Enhance New Business, Employ Innovation and Technology, and Nourish Human Resource” by PEA’s 14th Governor, Mr.Sompong Preeprem, to employ innovation and technology to efficiently serve people with global standard service quality.
