Use a fluorescent lamp or compact fluorescent lamp or LED lamp instead of incandescent lamps which instructions for use are as follows:
- 18 watt and 36 watt thin shape fluorescent lamps have the same brightness as 20 watt and 40 watt fluorescent lamps and can be used interchangeably without changing ballast and starter.
- There are two types of compact fluorescent lamp, built-in ballast type and pin-type. Built-in ballast type can be installed in an existing screw socket to replace incandescent lamp while pin-type requires a ballast and a socket that corresponds to their pin.
- LED lamps use low electrical energy and provide light equal to fluorescent lamps and fluorescent lamps.
